A new approach to pain control and management.
Low Level Light Therapy is a great addition to chiropractic care to speed up the healing process of soft tissue. It is safe, painless, and effective. We use a Class III laser which cannot cut, harm, or burn the skin in any way. This therapy provides our patients with an alternative means of non-invasive, drug-free pain relief and tissue regeneration. Although used by professional athletes and health care givers around the world for over 30 years, Low Level Light Therapy was approved for pain management in the United States by the FDA in 2003.
Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) is used to increase the speed, quality, and tensile strength of tissue repair; give pain relief; resolve inflammation; improve function of damaged neurological tissue and is often used as an alternative to needles for acupuncture.
LLLT floods the tissue with proton energy that the body uses to heal damaged and painful tissue. What is remarkable about this form of therapy is that we do not usually feel any kind of sensation while it is working on or in the body. It is truly painless and non-invasive while getting good results!
LLLT causes cellular activity. The cells begin to naturally repair themselves. In doing so, they also relieve the body of toxins. The Low Level Laser experience is different for everyone. You may feel better immediately, feel worse for a small period of time, feel better in 24-72 hours or feel better after 2-3 treatments. Each case is unique and your treatments are personalized according to your needs.

Kathy M. of Holland was seeking treatment for Plantar Fascitis. She had suffered with this condition for over 4 months and had sought other treatments that had been unsuccessful. She had temporary or conflicting results with other treatments. She felt relief after only 2 treatments with the low-level light therapy.
We asked her if she considered herself a success story; here is what she had to say: “Definitely, I am a long distance runner and read about this “new treatment” for my foot condition in my running magazine. After asking several doctors and care providers only one said they had heard of Cold Laser Therapy and it was only done out of state.
Frustrated and in significant pain I mentioned my problem and the article to a friend at a running store. They told me that Lakeshore Wellness Center just treated a competitive runner with this therapy and he’s running great! Long story short, I’m delighted that after 2 laser treatments I felt significant relief.
Thanks to Lakeshore Wellness Center and the doctors there I’m back running!
